The Sokoto State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) will hold a statewide roadshow on Saturday, October 3, 2026, to mobilise public support for the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026.
THESTORIES reports that the Caliphate Roadshow, scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m., is part of a nationwide awareness campaign by the NIPR Council to sensitise Nigerians to the significance of the global public relations and communication forum and Nigeria’s role as host.
According to a statement signed by Elizabeth Ephraim, Public Relations Officer, NIPR Sokoto State Chapter, and dated September 23, 2026, the roadshow will commence at the iconic Dogon Daji House in Sokoto and pass through the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) Roundabout, Government House, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and Gusau Road before terminating at the A. A. Shehu Arena, by NNPC Salame Road, where closing remarks will be delivered.
WPRF Abuja 2026 is scheduled to take place in Nigeria from November 15 to 21, 2026, with more than 3,000 delegates from 126 countries expected to participate.
The forum is being organised by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, the African Public Relations Association (APRA) and the NIPR.
The Sokoto chapter called on NIPR members, Mass Communication students, journalists, media practitioners, youth groups, stakeholders and members of the public to participate in the roadshow and support efforts to promote Nigeria’s hosting of the international event.
The chapter said a strong turnout from Sokoto would contribute to the nationwide campaign and help build momentum towards a successful WPRF Abuja 2026.
